I get asked often:
How did I get started writing popular informational books?
I wanted to pursue a more creative, worthwhile life. No more 8 to 5. No
more government "participation." No more stress. I
love to write and enjoy doing research that can save someone hundreds of hours and years
of time. I love getting results letters every day.
Do we dare to create an "impossible" big
dream?
I wanted to get a place in the country where I could grow a garden and be
around good hearted people. Be able to look at fluffy clouds, have a flock of baby chicks
at my feet, go down to pick a bucket of ripe juicy blackberries for a cobbler. Go on long
walks in the woods, looking for wildflowers, mushrooms and colorful butterflies. Take hot
bread out of the oven and spread with homemade jam. Build a greenhouse to grow things all
winter. Travel the world and visit fascinating people. Could this be possible? (Yes! Yes! Yes!)
Heres a little bit about Justin:
Justins family came to Fresno, California from Lansing,
Michigan in August 1964. It was hot and he claims he barely managed to live through it.
Justin went to Hoover High School graduating in 1970, then went to Fresno City College and
Fresno State for several years, tormenting his teachers with endless questions while
taking every business class they had.
Justin worked as a emergency paramedic
ambulance attendant for two years learning to help, be fast and stay calm no-matter-what.
He then went traveling, seeing many
colorful parts of the world. He has always had a travel bug tugging him to some new place.
What tales he can tell - crashing airplanes, annoying sharks while scuba diving, giant
lizard chases, wide eyed in the middle of stampeding horses, a tour bus stranded in the
mud at midnight in the jungle, piloting a full 767 jet unknown to the passengers, a summer
as a lumberjack, erupting volcanoes in Costa Rica, being in a movie with Dustin Hoffman,
collecting live cobras or being at the top of a tall tree his dear brother was chopping
down and more. He feels it's definitely better to wear out than rust out.
In 1976 he started Justin Wizard Printing from scratch. No money, no
experience. What a fool. Should Justin have stayed at his secure boring job? He had a
vision, a good attitude and learned as he went. "Put in massive effort."
"Get really good before they find out you werent." He was good and fast
and totally pampered the customers. Justin called it always having "A grand opening
attitude." Customers loved it and his company grew. Even though JWP started out very
small and modest it grew to be the second largest quick printing company in Fresno. He won
many awards such as the best Yellow Page ad in the USA, the fastest pricing system, the
most innovative company, best customer service award, the best direct mail newsletter and
more. Justin contributed to many charities and local good works. He gave away a lot of
free printing and his competitors thought he was crazy, yet he outlasted them all. Justin
would sometimes hire "unemployables" and turn them into motivated superstar
achievers. He says "you just have to believe in people. It was an excellent
experience serving the public for 18 years. His mom couldnt believe he stayed in
something so long."
In 1995 he got out of the printing company with the assistance of IRS.
He wanted to travel and write full time. "Its not
good to be in anything too long," he declared. "Its like getting stuck on
the first ride in Disneyland. It might have been fun but its time to get off and try
something new. Was he a good writer? "No, I was terrible" he said, "But I
practiced and got better by the week, whereas the critics often stayed where they
were."

Justin bought a 30 foot motor home outfitted it with solar panels for
free electricity and all the comforts of home. If it gets cold he can turn on an
electric blanket or make hot chocolate. Justin could now write and work anywhere; by a
beautiful river out in the country, hear fish jump and can throw bread to curious geese
that came by. Can you think of a better place to work? People say "dont you
have an office?" You mean you work in your motor home? If he had an office he would be
stuck there "waiting" on customer to come in, paying monthly rent and all
expenses which would have to be added to all sales. Justin now has almost no overhead, so
is able sell products at incredible low prices, yet is easily accessible.
In 2000 he went towards the east coast in his motor home and bought the
prettiest 166 acre farm in West Virginia. He always has some good down home stories about
making apple butter, picking berries, friendly raccoons, picking chanterelle mushrooms,
magical fireflies and the colorful neighbors.
He is the director of the Innovative
Technology Research Center where helpful, useful products and systems are invented, tested
and promoted. Labor was reduced by automating where possible. It is a fascinating place
to visit.

He is often asked to be a speaker at
conventions and expos. He is called regularly for business and product consulting - to
find better, faster more innovative ways of doing things. Justin has worn out several
passports. He also does several monthly informative seminars on many topics.
Comments about Justin
Justin is a person who thoroughly enjoys life. Somewhat flamboyant and totally
original he is indeed a colorful character. He has interests in innovative gardening and
has a large whimsical garden growing in Chloe, West Virginia. Fifty four rows fifty feet
long with everything his inner child could wish for. Tomatoes, beans, melons and flowers,
its all there. Sixty clean, bug and slug free strawberries per square foot, in the
air- hes doing that and more. He grows his own stevia sweetener plant. By recycling
and composting 99% he got in trouble once for not producing any garbage. "OK bub,
where are you dumping it?"

Justin started cooking at age seven and
after a few initial smoking disasters he got the hang of it. (His older brother would love
tell you all about "lemon pie #1 -oh oh") He first learned how to read by
reading cookbooks. Justin still loves cooking, making just about everything healthy from
scratch. He offers an unique internationally sold 250 page healthy recipe book.
Justin loves to laugh at light hearted
dinner parties where people retell their best stories. Calamities make for the best tales
so dont get too good in any area or your stories suffer. Life can be pretty silly if
you dont take catastrophes too seriously. If encouraged or bribed Justin may tell
hilarious stories, (Hey! It really happened!), perhaps sing, play guitar, harmonica with
vague rumors of piano music. He gets many requests but plays anyway.

He spends his time researching fascinating
topics, corresponding internationally, reading, writing and learning. Justin has written
articles for many popular national magazines and newspapers.
His passion in life is to traveling. Where?
Does it really matter? Lets go! Travel brings more accurate perceptions on life.
He loves sports while staying and feeling
young. He believes in optimum vibrant health where if you keep the body healthy it can and
will cure itself of any problem. Exercise! Oh boy! Hiking, biking, tennis, snorkeling,
snow skiing. Being on the slender side, he was really good at dodge ball in elementary
school. He is earnestly waiting for it to be declared an big Olympic sport so he can start
collecting impressive gold medals.

JUSTIN
WIZARD... humble Philosopher says:
Life is good, or as you choose to perceive it. Decide which inner voices
and choices you will follow. Where you spend your time is where you get your results.
Calamities are just a learning experience or a needed change of direction created
explicitly for you. Find your passions. Broke, frustrated people are doing everything but
using their unique creative gifts. Encourage self sufficiency. Don't do someone else's
homework. People are basically kind and generous unless they are hurting or fearful. Anger
continually perpetuates a situation. What you bless blesses you, what you curse curses
you, ten fold. Life is a learning school, not a punishment. Participate, don't be a
spectator. Dont be lazy waiting for God to do it for you. What can God experience
through you? Start anywhere with anything. Just start. Schedule it done. Action cures
fear. Once youve done it, its no big deal is it?
Live what you preach. Children are the
direct reflection of parents neurotic or peaceful actions and thoughts. Parents are to
teach all living skills and set a good example, not overindulge, be entertainment
directors or taxi drivers. They are to teach values and manners so the children are
welcome in any situation.
Unclutter and untangle your life. Time is
short. Go! You plunks down your nickel and you takes your chances. Be open to all opportunities and possibilities. If you
dont spend your money on what you want, it attracts expenses, repairs and dumb
stuff. Use or lose it.
Go adventure. The more you try the better
you get. Learn... love... share... try things... be available... serve others. Enthusiasm
is contagious.
What is really important? Schedule what you
really want. Learn to let go and trust God. In stillness listen to your intuition and the
perfect answer. Have gratitude. Give what you want to come back to you. Give a smile that
obviously radiates God's love within you.
He believes in simplicity. Keep life simple
and uncomplicated. No small print. Minimize entanglements. Learn to delegate and automate.
Find people and experts better than you. Stay free to experience all opportunities. Be
debt free. Strive for multiple streams of passive income. Look for beauty all around you
every day. Be grateful for everything. See difficult lessons are wonderful learning
experiences. Make really good cookies made with love to give out.
Justin strives to be the very best he can be,
always learning and improving. Life is such a precious exciting adventure!
